Amazing Live-In position available in historic Lexington. The position is within a residential home setting supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. Live RENT FREE in a private one bedroom apartment within the home in exchange for live-in duties.
The primary responsibility of the Live-In is to develop a warm, home-like, cooperative atmosphere in which both individuals and staff share.
Encourage individuals to be as independent as possible.
Ensure that the home is maintained in a safe, sanitary, and organized manner.
Assist individuals with life skills development and identification of need areas.
Be present in the home during the overnight hours, scheduling gaps, emergencies, and on a regular basis consistent with a cooperative, roommate situations.
Assist individuals with the development of self-preservation skills and implementation of fire and emergency procedures.
Cover nights according to agreed upon schedule.
Minimum age-18 years old. Must possess good written and oral skills to effectively communicate. Driver’s license and vehicle required. No pets allowed. Specific duties are in exchange for rent- free.
